![]() ![]() This game is a huge achievement by Capcom. Got the infinite rocket launcher in the middle of my second playthrough, beat it again, then did professional mode, beat it again. Why remake a game that is still easy to get your hands on and play, and is also one of the largest and most recent genre definers of its time? I’ve been skeptical of the remake since it was rumored. I had the experience playing RE4 thinking "wow this feels exactly like RE8" which is what I imagine the RE4 players all thought when RE8 came out. Also the virus in both games was caused by an ancient evil buried deep under the town. Then there's a castle level where you fight old aristocrats, a lake level where you fight a giant lake monster, then you end up going to a factory/industrial zone where there's more military-esque enemies, before fighting the final boss in some ancient ruins. You start off wandering into a rural European village where all the people have gone crazy. Only downsides I can think of is the bossfights were kind of just OK, but still fun (except for Krauser who is exceptional).Īlso one thing I noticed is that wow, RE8 really feels like almost a 1:1 copy of RE4 from a general flow and setting standpoint.
